For the week before march break, our student's council holds a "winter carnival" week with different days hold different events and costume days. On Tuesday it was "Tacky Tuesday", which is pretty self explanatory; dress up in the tackiest outfit you can find.
My sister and I dressed up-looked quite tacky I must say- and headed to school. Only to find that just a hand full of students actually dressed up. Feeling quite awkward due to the stares and giggles I'd received, I decided to change. Which later made me really mad! I shouldn't have changed just because other people found my outfit "odd".
This is one thing that bugs me about high school; the need to impress or fit in with other people.
How is anyone ever supposed to find who they are, when we all try to hard to be like everyone else?
I've decided to post a blog and ask other people to comment on one thing that they dislike in regards to high school...
p.s only 111 more days until summer vacation!!

What is beauty?
Beauty is more about feeling beautiful in your own skin than being the cookie cutter model of what it is society deems beautiful. Its about loving yourself and who you are, not trying to look and act like someone else. After all, how could anyone ever love you if you do not love yourself and who YOU ARE.
This to me is crazy! The woman of the world are supposed to be leaders and role models for the girls entering into adulthood. But if all they ever see is how unattainable "beauty" is, they will never be satisfied with themselves, no matter how many procedures they go through. This is not the example society should be showing.

4 letters; one very BIG word
There are billions of people on this earth, some live for just a mere minute, others 100 years; but how many can say they truly lived?
so ask yourself, what does it mean to LIVE?
“I asked him when it sank in, that this might really be the real end
How's it hit 'cha when you get that kind of news?
Man what did ya do?
He said,
I went skydiving
I went rocky mountain climbing
I went two point seven seconds on a bull named Fu Man Chu
And I loved deeper
And I spoke sweeter
And I gave forgiveness I'd been denyin'
And he said some day I hope you get the chance
To live like you were dyin'”
-Tim McGraw
I love country music. & I also love this song, not only for that reason, but many more. Not only does it show people that life is short and what you do with your time here is up to you, but its also shows the value we should all have for our lives. Some people don’t get to choose whether or not they want to continue living as their lives were ripped from them much too soon.
It’s the people that spend their entire lives working, saving towards something that may never come, or the people who live in fear of failure. But we all must realize we will all face many challenges in our lifetime, some big and some small, and through those challenges we grow and learn. “Let them be lessons not regrets, for lessons which the world repeats are those that if forgets.” Life is a series of building blocks and we become who we are through the trials and tribulations of life. Each choice we make, we place a new block on the pile and pray that it doesn’t come tumbling down. But we must realize is that, when it does fall, it only leaves space for a new block to take its spot. Living life in fear doesn’t allow your soul to breath, and it’s not truly living at all.
As humans we are always planning for the future, and because of this we are unable to live in the moment. But what if that moment is all you’ve got? If tomorrow were your last day, what would you do? Skydiving? Rocky Mountain climbing? I know I sure would. But one thing I hope for, is that one-day I can live everyday as if it were my last; everyday as if I were dying.
“Yesterday is history, tomorrow’s a mystery and today is a gift; that’s why the call it the present”
As I was writing this blog 2,407 people died around the world.
I wonder if they got all they could have out of their lives…
I'll keep this short & sweet
Im a blogging virgin.. & am defiantly just getting used to this. My blogs may go off on a tangent or turn into more of a rant. But by the end you should be able to get some sense of what it is I'm trying to say
